India won the match. I watched, in transfixed to the Tube. Sachin was playing his Oh so sleek square drive. He's a master of the sport. And am tempted to say, the sports of life too. Such elegance on and off the field, I sometimes find myself in awe of him(usually i do not find people special). How does he manages to maintain such a clean profile. Look at shane warne, imran khan, shoaib akhtar, kapil dev even, all have been into controversies. But Not Sachin. He lets the willow talk. U criticize me, and i'll smack a century in ur face, he seems to be saying.
SO he is our hero, while kambli, arguably a batsman of same class, no more gets to sign many autographs.
Not many celebreties are able to do this. So what is it that makes sachin so nice, all the time? My observation says..
1. Great upbringing by educated reasonably well to do parents.
2. Charecter.
3. Mental strength.
4. Focus on the game.
5. Rational approach towards life.
6. Never forgetting where he came from.
7. Value of hard work.
8. Honesty.
Little Master it seems is a master of all trades, and master blaster of one..!!!

I absolutely agree with you on this point.Sachin Tendulkar is dignity personified.Never he has uttered any cheap gimmicky comments to seek media publicity, neither he has ever resorted to any kind of backdoor politics to retain his place in the team nor he has indulged in any kind of scandalous affairs. He never forgot his roots and despite his wealth and fame he has always remained grounded.
But there were some occasional blobs in his career, like evasion of tax/duty while importing his car(read in the newspapers),etc.etc.Also unlike foreign players such as Steve Waugh and etal,Indian cricketers never associated themselves with any social cause. I might be wrong.Enlighten me if I am.
The import duty was more of a legal complication, which was i think unfortunate, and unintentional.
Sachin has not publicaly done any charity, which may be resuly of his dislike of unnecessary attention, or may be he is non believer of charity. Either way, it makes him no lesser a hero.
I hope he joins ICL after his retirement from first class cricket. Will be a boon for cricket.
Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....Sachin delivers AGAIN :))
