looks like the female supression came with the other cultures that became indian.. not the vedic ones..

Not that i say that the later cultures are not indian..they are more indian than the vedic one...

But i say this to emphasise that our culture and religion is not anti women..

but yes.. the culture that developed after the influence of christian and mougal and lodhi etc. is more relevent and Indian than the vedic culture we had almost 2000 years back..

and sadly, it is suppressive of women.. SAD.
